Images in Education Lesson

My lesson consists of having the students match colors with their picture. I typed three different color words (blue, orange, green)on to a word document. Half of the class would get a different set of three colors so not all of the students would have the same objects. The directions for the students are that they are supposed to take a picture of something blue, orange, and green, a picture for each color. Then the students with some direction on how to do it, would insert the picture under each of the color headings. Then they could write a short sentece about the object they took a picture of. This incorporates colors, language arts, and technology since they used a digital camera and have to type on a computer. The students would then share what they found while on their search for the colors.

Kacie,
I like how you implemented something so simple as a word document into your lesson plan. I think it is a great way to get kids to understand how to insert pictures and create a document, as well as practice colors and typing! Good Job!

It is a great lesson- basic- but gets your point across! Children would love to express their creative side by taking the pictures and matching up them with the pretty colors. I could definitely see this as being a fun activity in the classroom and it working successfully! It introduces them to the computer, and in this day in age, it's important do do EARLY in the child's educational career!

It's good how you have incorporated technology skills of taking pictures and using word processing in the lesson. Way to incorporate more than one skill into the lesson!
