I think that one of the best non computer technologies is an over head projector. I believe this is a great one because of the simplicity and most schools have them and they are fairly affordable. They are great for those students who are visual learners because the teacher can write and demonstrate in front of the whole class what they need to be doing. Also the teacher is able to erase the writing on the overhead sheets and can reuse them rather than making more or purchasing more of them.

ERIC presentations

I thought all the presentations were great and I learned a lot from them. I actually learned a lot from my own presentations and the outlook on gender in education and technology. I also thought the presentation was great about internet safety because taht is such a huge issue now especially with young children exploring on the internet. This is something that I have been concerned about for myself and now even more with young students. I thought the internet resource presentation was great. I loved seeing the various ways teachers can use technology. I'm really not nervous about incorporating technology into my classroom because I think it helps the students so much and it is a great way to get students involoved in their own learning.

This link is called inspirekidz. It's a data base that has many different subheadings for you to click on to tell you how to incoporate different technologies into your classroom. The subheadings are those such as using e-mail, powerpoint, webquests, kid pix, online writing projects, ect. I think this is a great site for teachers. The information given under the subheadings is very helpful and tells you what skills the students are going to learn.
